The outer wool becomes less water-tolerant after the drying process. To clean, avoid soaking or immersing the purse in water. A lint roller is the recommended method for removing surface dust and loose threads. For spot cleaning, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth.

Each purse is fully lined with pre-washed cotton or silk fabric, offering a soft and clean interior. The base of the bag contains a removable foam core insert that is reinforced with a Plexiglas panel for added structure and strength. Magnetic snap closures provide secure, easy access, while purse feet protect the bottom surface from wear.

To store the purse, shift the internal base sideways and lay the purse on its side. When ready to use again, reposition the base, reshape the lining, and gently fluff the exterior embellishments such as decorative ribbons or eyelash yarns. Although the wool is labeled as moth-proofed, storing the purse with a few mothballs sealed in a small bag or container is recommended for added protection.

Handle options vary across designs. Some hand-carry styles feature wooden or polyester handles. Newer models incorporate metal handles decorated with an assortment of beads, including some Pandora-style beads which may be glass. These beads are arranged to ensure more durable ones come into contact with surfaces first. Handles can be removed and opened to replace or customize beads as needed.
